POLITICO’s Steve Forbes has a new take on the ink-jet printer issue.
Here’s what Forbes is saying:The ink-filling system is designed to hold a single drop of ink to a printer, and the problem is that the printer is supposed to print all of it, instead of just the one ink drop.
The problem has plagued printers since the 1980s, and now it’s becoming an issue even with inkjet printers that don’t use a laser to create ink droplets.
The company that sells inkjet pens and printers, Epson, recently told Bloomberg News that it has identified about 100 inkjet-printing systems in China and plans to update them in the coming months.
Epson said the ink system that’s causing the problem should be replaced in coming weeks.
We’ll be publishing a detailed article with additional details in the next few days.
